My luggage for 2 full weeks away

Two dumb things haunt me from the last three years of traveling:

• The luggage pictured above. I got it from a specialized store and the sales lady said: “Don’t worry, it would fit. I always travel with this and I fly WizzAir”. I was concerned it would be too big because when I measured it with the wheels it was larger than recommended. Nothing bad happened on the way to Rome BUT for the flight to Athens on Easyjet we had to take off the wheels. And I am glad we did that. It was dumb to believe a sales lady and not the measurements I wrote down. Now we have a carry on which is 3 cm SMALLER than the recommended size!
• March 2012. Rome. Taking photos with the “Roman soldier”. That’s a scam and I was dumb dumb dumb to fall for it. He asked for 10 euros, I gave him 5 and cursed him between my teeth.
