#DoYouIndie Slowing Down

I am , again, participating in the Indie Challenge hosted by Bootsnall. Just like last year, I’d be posting an article a day, based on the question / challenge of that day.

Slow Down & Enjoy the Experience

QUESTION:
Tell us about a time you slowed down & enjoyed an experience and how slow travel can be the best way to travel.
CHALLENGE: Go to a park, outdoor cafe, beach, or somewhere outdoors where you are around people. Sit for 1 hour. No phone. No facebook. No laptop. Just sit, watch, listen, observe, and enjoy the experience.
What did you see? Was it hard to sit in one place for an hour? Did you learn anything about yourself or others during this slow-down time? How do you feel slowing down can help you experience a place better?

This article will go live as I’m coming from Cluj. So, given the past experience, this means rushing home to get myself set up to start work by noon.

But this doesn’t mean I cannot talk from previous experience. At least once a year, we walk to and in the woods which are located within the city borders. They are opposite the airport and it takes us about 45 min to reach the woods on foot.

It gives us plenty of time to just slow down, walk, take photos…enjoy the nature, enjoy each other.

I cannot stand still though. A day at the beach is nightmare for me! I need to be on my feet, exploring, and not tied to a place. Which is rather funny considering my desk job. Or may more so because of it.
