A trip to Italy offered the chance try two things which, for me, fall in the “weird” category: cactus fruit and raw sea-food (a type of local scallop).

I cannot call myself adventurous when it comes to food. I do not eat red meat but I love seafood. Alex hates seafood so things get pretty funny when I start tasting fishes and octopus and other stuff. I do love fruits so I will try those too, unless they really stink (I did see durian in the market in Vienna , btw!).

  1. Some tripe stew in Florence – supposed to be traditional. I know it sounds gross, but I’m a big fan of tripe soup in Ro also.. so I tried it, it was lovely, ofc.. At the local market there’s a bitro called Nerbone, very popular with locals and tourists.

    • Oh hell I forgot about tripe soup – insert green face here. Tried it ONCE in Cluj. My cousin is supposed to be a super good cook. I looked pretty unconvinced at it LOL Never again
