My parents have always joked that I have traveled since I was in the womb. While pregnant mom took a trip to Bears Cave in Romania. They went by car and the only place she could take the ride without feeling sick was in the seat right next to the driver. Luckily I don’t have motion sickness unless I am in a bus.

I do remember a trip – also by car – we took to Ocna Mures, Romania, when I was 6. Later bit came a trip with my parents to Voineasa , Romania and in 1989 (I was 8) I went to Bucharest by plane with mom and late grandma. Then a trip to Salonta, Romania with my late grandparents. Then another trip with my other grandma, going to Baia Mare, Romania.

I think I’ve started to love traveling since I was really small. I used to take trips all the time , since before going to school and all through school years.

The first independent travel happened in 2000, when I was 19. I traveled with two friends and we went to Sighisoara, Romania for the Medieval Festival. By then I knew the travel bug has bitten me badly.

As a result, I combined traveling with photography and writing and here I am writing on this blog about it!

  1. I was lucky enough to have traveling parents too.. just that they prefer the mountains, I love the beach and the country. My dad had plenty of business trips and he was always on the run (he used to work for CFR in my early days), my mom traveled abroad for her PhD (and took me with her).. I love to travel also, I’ve been static only recently, and that’s temporary, I think 😛 I used to “blame” my lover, now I blame work.. ah, I’ll grow up one day and find no mo excuses..

    • Voineasa is right smack on transalipna, and I haven’t set foot at the sea side until 2006. So mountains and cities for me.
Well, I had some shitty years when I didn’t travel much. A certain ex was the cause I found but I could have tried to travel solo, right? Could’ve, would’ve , should’ve…
