If you travel as a couple, consider some romantic destinations in Asia and don’t forget to pack your bathing suit. While traveling by myself through Asia, I was wondering which would be the most romantic places where to travel as a couple. And I can’t help dreaming about them ever since.

Asia is a land of contrasts as well as unimaginable natural beauties. You can find peddlers in the street, countless temples, and shabby neighborhoods as well as luxurious hotels and restaurants, panoramic landscapes and wild beaches with pristine waters. During the day might be challenging to discover the local lifestyle but during the evening you can retire in the middle of natural beauties and let love surround you.

It was hard to choose among all the beauties that Asia offers, but my heart has chosen some places where you’d definitely find romance in the air. Here are a few of the most attractive romantic destinations in Asia:

Pokhara, Nepal

Pokhara is the base camp for many treks into the Himalayas, but it also has an incredible lake where you can paddle in colorful wooden boats. Going up to the World Peace Pagoda or the Sarangkot Mountain to watch the sunrise over the Himalayas is a reason why this place has a romantic atmosphere. If you want to extend your stay in the area and continue your explorations, you can do a short trek in the Annapurna Area and see the highest mountains of the world.

Boracay Island, Philippines

When you go to Boracay, you’ll understand why this island is called the Pearl of the Orient. Beaches with white sands, crystal waters, and picturesque palm trees are a real heaven on earth. Besides, if the sun burns you, there are countless activities to fill your day, from horse riding and scuba diving to snorkeling and windsurfing.

Phuket, Thailand

Phuket is the Pearl of the Andaman Sea, a reason enough for being the largest and most visited island in Thailand. Countless beaches with blue waters and fine sand intersperse the island. There are quiet and remote beaches such as Karon and Surin where you’ll sunbathe sipping your cocktails with the breeze of the wind. Or you can choose to join the young crowds and have fun on the beach of Patong all day long.

Singapore

This modern city-state in Southeast Asia is actually one of the world’s most prosperous countries and you’ll feel like nowhere else in Asia. Singapore is a former British colony where the tall skyscrapers and speedy subways will take you to a different world. However, the Chinese, Malay and Indian influences create a strong authentic atmosphere of the place and a proper environment for romantic couples. A stroll along the riverside or in the Little India quarter will enhance the local experience and you’ll have new memories.

Bali, Indonesia

The Island of Gods offers more than you can even dream. Here the sand is black and white as well, and the pristine waters invite you to have a swim from every beach. When the sun will make you run away in the shadow, you can go cycling, hike in a rainforest, or visit the traditional temples of the island. If you want to have dinner and watch impressive sunsets, venture in Seminyak and try a rooftop restaurant with astonishing views.

Palawan, Philippines

One of the largest provinces of the Philippines, Palawan island is famous for its white sands, pristine waters, and wild beaches. It is known as the Land of the Promise since Magellan’s chronicler named it like this when the bounty of the island saved his crew. Challenge your orientation skills and find the Secret Lagoon Beach in El Nido, one of the places you’ll remember your whole life. Puerta Principesa is a must see of the island as it hosts one of the longest underground rivers in the world.
