International Museum Day 2013

International Museum Day was established in 1977 and in 2012 it had reached 129 countries on five continents.

For the past three years, Alex and I managed to be a part of this magnificent cultural event. In 2011 we visited the history section and the natural sciences section at Arad Museum. We also went to an exhibition at the art gallery which was part of the event. In 2012, we went , again, to the three venues.

This year we were determined not to go but found out (via Facebook) that the medieval section was finally opened for the public again (has been closed for the past three years). So, we went. It wasn’t as crowded as in the previous years, but it was nice.

All photos are taken with my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 phone and edited in Instagram.

  1. We are definitely museum goers. Last week I went to see my aunt, and saw The magnificent Detroit Institute of Art, and the conservatory at Belle Isle. We ran out of time, and didn’t make it to the Detroit Historical Museum, but I will surely go next time.
