As a Hungarian, Budapest has a special place in my heart. With its famous ruin pubs, spas, farmers markets, historical buildings, museums and parks it has something for everyone. Gellért Hill is a nice lookout point at 235 meter. It is a part of the World Heritage Sites List from 1987. It’s a bit of a climb, but there are lots of viewing areas on the way up to get your breath back. After about 20-30 minutes you arrive at the top where you are rewarded with a fantastic view. You can spot many famous landmarks, like the Parliament, Buda Castle, St Stephens Basilica and Chain Bridge. It’s even more magical if you manage to catch the sunset/sunrise from the top. After you soaked in this amazing view I suggest walking down towards the Gellért Spa, where you can relax in the warm water or get a massage to ease those muscles.
