Budapest in Spring: Simple DIY Walking Tours

Please wear good walking shoes, bring bottled water (it’s pricy in touristy spots) and wear sunscreen. Make sure to stop as many times as you need to.

Each time we travel to Budapest we plan to walk as much as we can and avoid using the public transportation – albeit it’s amazing and gets you pretty much everywhere. But when the weather is nice , why not enjoy the city at your own pace and also benefit from some cardio out of it?

The following walking tours have been done by us (Alex , me and our friends from Holland) on our most recent visit in Budapest (April 2013). We enjoyed amazing weather, hence we decided to walk as much as we could. I haven’t compiled (yet) all walks we did (I still need to add the one from Sunday) but these three walks comprise most of the city’s attractions (save for the Parliament and Margitsziget).
